The following privacy policies clarify the collection and processing of your data when using goUrban.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR DATA PROTECTION
The data protection authority responsible for data collection and data processing on this website is ussually the
goUrban e-Mobility GmbH
In addition to goUrban e-Mobility Ltd, our respective cooperation partners are also jointly responsible for data protection for some of the data processing operations described below. You can therefore also exercise some rights directly against the respective cooperation partner. You will find the appropriate information about this in the appropriate place of these privacy policies.
In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use the latest state-of-the-art encryption procedures on our website and when using the app.
REQUIRED APP PERMISSIONS
We need the following authorizations for you to use the goUrban service.
All data to which we have access within the scope of the authorizations is used exclusively for the aforementioned purposes. We do not collect any data that we do not really need for these purposes.
Access to your camera is required to verify your driving license and identity. We are legally obliged to do this. For further information on the identity and driving license examination, please refer to the section “Data collection during registration for goUrban“.
We need information about your location to be able to use OpenStreetMap to show you whether there is a bike near you and how you can get to it.
In addition to accessing your location, we collect your bike reservation requests, start, park and end points of your journey route. There is no record of your route.
We collect the aforementioned data in order to be able to make a correct and transparent statement. In addition, in the event of an accident or other damage (e.g. damage and dirt of the bike), we can prove that you have driven the bike.
The data also allow us to adapt our service to your needs (e.g. placing bikes near your reservation requests).
You can only end the journey with your goUrban bike within the business area.
Data collection during registration at goUrban
As part of the registration process, we will ask you for the following data categories: First name, surname, e-mail address, address and mobile number.
We generally use this data exclusively for the following purposes:
- Contract processing with you
- Sending information about offers from goUrban. More information can be found in the section “Contact for purposes of information and customer inquiry”.
- Contact you for the purpose of carrying out customer surveys and quality assurance interviews. More information can be found in the section “Contact for purposes of information and customer inquiry”.
IDENTITY AND DRIVING LICENSE EXAMINATION
We are legally obligated to verify your identity and your driving license. This is done before you complete your registration. Our app uses a photo-based process. In this procedure you will be asked to photograph your driver’s license. In addition, we ask you to take a selfie of yourself so we can determine if the documents shown are yours.
The data is processed by Comodule OU.
CHECKING YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS
After you have finished your registration, you will receive an e-mail from the e-mail address provided by you. This email contains a link, which you must click. Only then will your goUrban account be activated. With your confirmation, we want to make sure that the e-mail address you provide is also correct.
CONTACT US FOR INFORMATION AND CUSTOMER SURVEY PURPOSES
In order to provide you with information and offers tailored to your needs, we use the data for your individual usage profile according to the section “Data collection during the use of the goUrban app” as well as data location according to the section “Required app permissions “. Push messages allow us to inform you as soon as possible about the status of your booking (eg The scooter is outside our business area, or you have forgotten to terminate your booking), the service level of goUrban (eg disturbances, impairments) Offers. If you want to do without this exclusive information, you can disable our push messages at any time in your smartphone settings (Home Screen -> Settings -> Notifications). Please note however, that we send some goUrban offers exclusively via push messages.
We hereby inform you that we will use your name as well as your e-mail address to send you information about exclusive goUrban offers at regular intervals. These are, for example, to make offers on discounted trips. If you are not interested in the offers and benefits of our information mails, you can unsubscribe at any time from our information service. If you have agreed to receive our newsletter separately, you you will not receive a newsletter from us in this case either.
You agree that goUrban will also contact you by telephone to inform you about current goUrban offers or to be able to conduct a customer survey.
A telephone contact is also made in order to be able to solve problems (eg impossibility of logging in and logging out) that can be solved in the course of individual rental transactions quickly and individually..
TRANSFER OF YOUR DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
Your data will only be passed on to third parties, as long as this is permitted or required by European data protection law. You can rely on goUrban – eg in the case of the inquiry of an investigative authority – to check each request for further data protection by the goUrban data protection officer beforehand.

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data stored by us at any time. If you determine, for example by exercising your right of information, that a date about you is incorrect or has become incorrect, we are in principle obligated to correct it immediately.
